Piano Removal & Disposal in Northern Colorado
Got an old piano nobody plays? Red Truck Delivery removes uprights, spinets, console pianos, and even baby grands across Fort Collins, Loveland, and the rest of NoCo. We bring the crew, the dollies, and the muscle — you point at the piano.
Pianos We Remove
- Spinet pianos (the smallest uprights) — usually 2 crew, straightforward.
- Console pianos — 2–3 crew depending on access.
- Studio & full uprights — we bring dollies, straps, and a third hand.
- Baby grand pianos — legs and lyre come off, top is wrapped. We do these too.
- Digital pianos & keyboards — obviously much easier.
Full concert grands and pianos with very limited access (narrow basement stairs, tight upstairs landings, etc.) get a custom quote. Send us a photo of the piano and the path it has to travel and we'll figure it out.
What Piano Removal Costs in NoCo
Piano removal in Northern Colorado typically runs $300–$600, depending on size, access, and difficulty. Tight access (basements, second floors, narrow doorways) and bigger instruments push toward the upper end of the range. We'll always give you a flat, written quote before we touch the piano — never an hourly bill that runs away from you.
How a Piano Removal Goes
1. Send us a photo and your address
Include a shot of the doorway and stairs if there are any. Text to 303-918-1114.
2. Get a flat quote
We'll lock in the price and pick a window.
3. We bring the gear
Dollies, moving blankets, straps, and the right number of people.
4. We protect your floors and walls
Door jambs and stair corners get padded before anything moves.
5. We haul it away
Old, broken, or beyond-tuning pianos head to responsible disposal. For pianos that still play, we'll try Habitat for Humanity Loveland first — they sometimes accept them, sometimes don't.
Why People Hire Us for Pianos
- We've done plenty. Pianos are heavy, awkward, and unforgiving. We know how to walk them through a doorway without dinging your trim.
- Flat pricing. No surprise "stairs charge" at the end.
- Floor & wall protection. Moving blankets and corner pads at the doorways and tight spots so your trim and floors stay safe.
- Donation when possible. If your piano still plays, we'll try Habitat for Humanity Loveland first. They don't always take them, but it's worth a shot before disposal.
- Local crew, fully insured. Real people you can call back if you have questions.
Piano Removal Service Area
We remove pianos throughout Fort Collins, Loveland, Windsor, Timnath, Wellington, Berthoud, Greeley, Longmont, and surrounding Northern Colorado towns.
Piano Removal FAQ
Can you move a piano just to another room or to my new house?
Yes — we offer in-home piano moves and short-distance piano moves alongside removal. Same flat-quote process: send a photo, tell us where it's going, and we'll quote you the move.
My piano is in the basement. Can you still get it out?
Almost always — we just need to look at the stairs and the turn at the bottom. Walkout basements are easy. Tight L-shaped stairs need a little more planning. Send a video of the stairwell and we'll tell you if it's doable.
Will you donate my old piano instead of dumping it?
If it still plays, we'll try Habitat for Humanity Loveland first — they accept playing pianos sometimes, but not always. If they don't take it, or if the piano is structurally done (cracked soundboard, beyond tuning, water damage), it heads to responsible disposal.
Do you tune pianos or repair them?
No, we're not piano techs. We're the muscle and the truck. If you need a tuner, a quick Google search for "piano tuner Fort Collins" will turn up local options.
